How to Get Married in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town
Getting married in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is a significant milestone in the farming game. Before you can propose to your desired character, you must first reach a Friendship Level of ten hearts with them and view all nine of their Heart Scenes. Once you've accomplished this, it's time to purchase a Blue Feather from the general store and present it as a gift to your chosen partner.
This special gift will trigger a heartwarming cutscene where you propose to your loved one and discuss your wedding plans. The mayor will then pay you a visit to help you choose a date for your wedding ceremony. You'll have three options to select from.
Preparing for the Wedding Day
After setting a date, it's time to choose your wedding outfit. Karina, the local tailor, has prepared four options for you to consider. Keep in mind that each marriage candidate has their own unique wedding attire, so your choice of clothing only applies to your character.
On your wedding day, the event will last the entire day, meaning you won't be able to attend to your farm or celebrate any townspeople's birthdays. Once the day is over, your spouse will move into your house and contribute to the household by adding new furniture, such as a chest of drawers and a double bed.
Your spouse's daily routine in Olive Town will remain mostly unchanged, and you can still find them in their usual locations during the day. Additionally, their Friendship Level with you will receive an additional five hearts.
Divorce and Remarriage
If you change your mind about married life, it is possible to get a divorce. Visit the Shrine in the northern area of Olive Town and choose the "Reset Family Status" option. This will return your relationship to its state before the sixth Heart Scene. Divorcing your spouse allows you to pursue romantic relationships and marriage with any of the marriage candidates, including your previous spouse.
Be aware that resetting your family status will remove any child you had with your former spouse from the game.
If you're dissatisfied with your wedding outfit or hairstyle, don't worry. You can visit the Beauty Salon, where you'll find the four available wedding outfits for purchase. Keep in mind that these outfits can be quite expensive and require rare crafting ingredients. Additionally, changing your outfit or hairstyle at the Salon comes at a cost.
