World of Warcraft players fooled AI-generated websites
AI-generated websites often churn out oddball stories that, while amusing, sometimes feel a bit too contrived. Well, fans of World of Warcraft recently decided to prank the sites by creating a non-existent character named Glorbo and posting about it on the WoW subreddit. The AI took the bait and wrote stories about the non-existent character, including a timeline of events that would supposedly happen in the Blizzard game.
Now, Destiny 2 fans have joined in on the fun by creating their own fake boss named Glorbo. A redditor posted a thread praising the mechanics of the fake boss and calling for more secrets like it. The community quickly chimed in with praise, complaints, and ridiculous claims, creating a hilarious community effort.
One website even created a guide on how to find Glorbo, including a quote from the original post.
“Glorbo is a level 7 boss that drops a chest and a glitched gun,” the quote says. “He can be found in the Quacken with the floating rocks and the dark room with the red light.”
However, the guide is complete nonsense. And that’s the point.
The whole thing is a prank, but it highlights the weaknesses of AI and the danger of relying too heavily on automated systems. Now, it seems like a one-off, but who knows what the future holds?
The secret of Glorbo is now out in the open, but there may be more fake encounters to come in other games.

While this may seem like a harmless joke, it highlights the weaknesses of AI and the danger of relying too heavily on automated systems.
The commentary in the thread can be genuinely confusing for those not familiar with the game. There is even some fake beef between Glorbo fans and Quacken backers.
It’s unclear if something like this will happen again, but who knows what the future holds? In the meantime, check out some of our favorite PC games. You can also take a look at the best space games if you’re a fan of the Destiny series.
