Blizzard launches World of Warcraft pets pack

World of Warcraft players can now pick up a limited-time pet pack to support humanitarian relief in Ukraine, with the initiative fronted by Hollywood actor Mila Kunis, a former Warcrafter. The 100% of sales will go directly to BlueCheck, a collective of crisis response and aid organisations, with Kunis expressing her love for the WoW community and the impact we can come together for a common goal.

“I’m so blown away by the support from the World of Warcraft community and excited that we’re coming together to do something good,” Kunis says. “The players and Blizzard have raised millions of dollars for charity through these pet packs in the past, and I’m hoping we can do the same for Ukraine.”

Two new pets are included in the pack; a golden retriever named Sunny and a baby murloc called Flurky. Flurky carries a sunflower and leaves a colourful trail while wandering, with both pets exclusive to this offer.

“War is never easy,” Kunis continues. “We can’t undo the damage it causes, but we can help rebuild communities and give people hope.”

The World of Warcraft charity pet pack will be available until the end of August for $20/£18/€20. You can find out more about the initiative here.

Donation option to support BlueCheck

Blizzard has also added a donation option to support BlueCheck during any WoW purchase. The prompt will appear at checkout with any digital item, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the charity.

The World of Warcraft charity pet program has raised millions of dollars over the years to help those in need. World of Warcraft executive producer Holly Longdale says that we should “expect the WoW community to step up” and donate.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has created an ongoing need for humanitarian aid and support. BlueCheck directly supports vetted NGOs working in Ukraine, providing life-saving support to those affected by the ongoing war. You can find out more about BlueCheck and how to donate here.
