World of Warcraft Ukraine Relief Pet Pack

World of Warcraft is releasing a new pet pack to support Ukraine humanitarian relief, spearheaded by a collective of crisis response and aid organizations. The effort is led by Hollywood actor Mila Kunis, who is a former Warcrafter herself, and the pack includes a golden retriever named Sunny and a baby murloc called Flurky. Both pets share the color scheme of the Ukrainian flag and have unique abilities that represent the ongoing need for assistance in the country.

The World of Warcraft Ukraine relief pet pack is available now, and sales proceeds will go to BlueCheck, the group that is partnering with Blizzard for the initiative. BlueCheck is a collective of crisis response and aid organizations that are currently responding to the ongoing need in Ukraine.

Kunis, who is a co-founder of BlueCheck, fronts the effort as a lifelong World of Warcraft player and former Warcrafter. The pet pack costs $20/£18/€20 and will be available until the end of August.

If you’re playing World of Warcraft, you can also donate to BlueCheck by simply clicking a button during any WoW purchase. The option appears at checkout with any digital item, and you can choose to donate $1, $5, $10, or $20. Every dollar supports the work of BlueCheck’s vetted NGOs providing aid where it’s needed.

“The ongoing conflict has created urgent humanitarian needs and BlueCheck is supporting the critical and life-saving work of humanitarian aid organizations to aid civilians affected by the conflict,” World of Warcraft executive producer Holly Longdale says. “We are proud to support BlueCheck through our pet pack launch and hope players will proudly support the cause through their pets.”

The ongoing war in Ukraine has created an ongoing need for humanitarian aid, with BlueCheck supporting vetted NGOs providing aid where it’s needed. Kunis expresses her love for the WoW community and their common goals, while Longdale highlights the impact of the charity pet program.

“People around the world play World of Warcraft. They love their pets,” Kunis says. “So why not pair the two and create a way for people to support a cause in a very unique and very special way?”
