AMD limited edition Starfield 7800X3D and 7900 XTX GPUs
AMD has revealed two limited edition Starfield products, the 7800X3D CPU and 7900 XTX GPU, both of which boast unique designs and features. Unfortunately, there’s a catch, as these exclusive products aren’t actually available to buy, instead the CPU’s special features are limited to the packaging and the GPU boasts references to the game in its design.
The Starfield 7900 XTX GPU is the more interesting of the two, as it boasts a unique design inspired by Starfield. The graphics card’s shroud features a ‘starfield’ design, and the GPU’s LED logo lights up in the game’s signature blue colour.
Beyond the aesthetics, the GPU includes references to the game in its specifications. The graphics card’s boost speed is listed as ‘unlimited’, and the device’s pixel fill rate, pixel count, and pixel shader count are all listed as ‘infinite’.
The Starfield 7800X3D CPU is a less exciting product, as it doesn’t feature any Starfield design elements. Instead, the limited edition product is bundled with the game, and boasts performance comparable to the 7800X3D ‘Legendary’. AMD’s official system requirements for Starfield do recommend the 7800X3D pairing, so the limited edition CPU should be a good choice for Starfield gamers.
Both the Starfield 7800X3D and 7900 XTX GPU are available to win from AMD, with only 500 units of each item being produced. The graphics card is set to be given away at various events, starting with Quakecon, with the CPU also being given away at select events.
