The Ark Review on PC Gamer
The Ark review on PC Gamer has sparked quite the heated debate in the comment section regarding what the shooter is actually reviewing. Many of the most popular guesses are from well-known and popular games, such as Destiny 2, Ark, Dota 2, and Call of Duty. Others mention Overwatch, Rocket League, Goat Simulator, Battle Toads, Factorio, and Paradox titles.
While this list is quite amusing, it does highlight the diversity of our gaming community and the different preferences and experiences we all have. I’ve personally sunk countless hours into games I had mixed feelings about, so I can personally relate to the experience in the review. The excessive playtime mentioned certainly raises an eyebrow, but some users questioned how someone could get so many hours in a game that releases every year.
Some of the more interesting suggestions include Warframe, Rust, Heroes and Generals, League of Legends, and Cookie Clicker (although I’d argue that Cookie Clicker is more of an addictive puzzle game rather than an immersive RPG). A few users even speculated that it could be a game that was once great but got ruined with updates, such as GTA V or Old-school RuneScape.
Popular Guesses:
GTA V
Old-school RuneScape
Saints Row Reboot
RDR2
Path of Exile
eFootball
Rainbow Six Siege
Black Desert
While I’m sure there are some games that could fit the description given in the review, I’m personally leaning towards Ark given the playtime mentioned and the resentment expressed towards the game. Many of us can relate to sinking countless hours into a game we have mixed feelings about.
The comment section is also filled with humorous remarks and discussions about the various games mentioned. Overall, the comments reflect the passion and dedication that gamers have for their favorite games, even if they have some reservations or frustrations.
