Baldur's Gate 3 Clerics: The Ultimate Support Class

Want to know about all the Baldur’s Gate 3 cleric spells? Clerics are the ultimate support class, excelling in healing and buffs. They’re knowledgeable individuals who wear thick robes and carry heavy tomes, and their proficiencies reflect this. Whether you’re a healing-focused Cleric or a buff-heavy Cleric, you’ll want to equip items that offer you the best buffs to your party.

There are a lot of spells in Baldur’s Gate 3, and your Cleric will have access to some of the best healing spells in the game. Healing spells like Cure Wounds, Prayer of Healing, and Beacon of Hope are essential spells for Clerics, but they can only get you so far. They require strategic spell-planning and well-timed rests to ensure you always have the right spell at the right time.

Cleric Domains and Spells

Baldur’s Gate 3 Clerics have access to several domains, each with their own spells and abilities. The Trickery Domain allows you to control the battlefield with debuffs and buffs, while the War Domain focuses on durability and powerful attacks. Shadowheart, our Trickery Domain Cleric, is available from the start, and we’ll be leveling her to level 20 in our playthrough.

Clerics can use maces, Chain armor, and a Studded Shield for durability, but they also have access to spells that offer much more support to the party. Clerics have access to healing, buffs, and debuffs, and can control the battlefield with them.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Cleric Stats

Cleric stats are Wisdom and Charisma. Your Wisdom modifier affects your attack rolls and your Charisma modifier affects your saving throws and spells. Clerics are prepared casters, which means they can change their prepared spells. Clerics are Wisdom-based spellcasters, meaning they affect your attacks and saves.

There are a few feats for Clerics that feel lackluster, like the Channel Divinity and Destroy Undead feats. However, we did notice that our Feats list changed depending on the type of enemies we were facing. For example, if we were fighting Undead enemies, we had access to feats like Channel Divinity: Undead Annihilator and Destroy Undead.

If you find yourself wanting more information on all the feats available to you, we highly recommend popping over to the Pathfinder: Kingmaker wiki, which has a list of all available feats at each level.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Cleric Armor and Weapons

Clerics in Baldur’s Gate 3 are prepared casters, which means they can change their spells. However, they are Wisdom-based spellcasters, so your stats and feats will depend on the type of Cleric you plan on playing. Clerics can either be spellcasters who cast from the sidelines, or armored tanks based on your stats and the available feats.
