Need to find a cure for the Mind Flayer parasite? Baldur’s Gate 3 adds a new quest to the classic RPG game, with the goal of curing one of your Baldur’s Gate 3 companions from the effects of the infection. In this guide, we’ll outline the steps required, as well as what you can expect from the Githyanki, and their rather unique methods.

How to cure a Mind Flayer parasite in Baldur’s Gate 3

To be cured of the Mind Flayer parasite, you need to choose to admit your infection to Ghustil. She will then cure you with the Zaith’isk, after which Lae’zel demands that you use it to free the minds of her fellow Githyanki.

If you instead choose to deny the infection, Ghustil won’t be convinced the machine worked, and locks herself in the room. You can pick the locked door and confront her, or try to persuade her out of the room.

If Ghustil isn’t convinced the machine worked, she locks herself in the room, meaning you can’t resolve the quest. However, the rest of the Creche remains non-hostile. You can pick the locked door and confront Ghustil or simply persuade her.

If you do choose to fight Ghustil, she’s joined by some Githyanki, including Lae’zel. However, the rest of the Creche remains non-hostile.

Lae’zel insists on discussing the tampering of the Zaith’isk with the captain, Kith’rak. You can’t actually discuss this matter with him though, and Lae’zel remains annoyed with you.
