Baldur’s Gate 3 Absolute Cult: Stealing Organs for Horrific Rituals

The Absolute cult is terrifying. Not only does it operate with impunity in the fantasy game Baldur’s Gate 3, but its members commit the most heinous of crimes. They steal organs from their victims, leaving the bodies a gory mess. It’s difficult to look at the state of some of the corpses in the Reithwin Tollhouse without feeling a deep sense of disgust.

The tollhouse is guarded by an undead named Gerringothe Thorm, who demands payment from the player character. Of course, the option to kill him is always there, but you’ll miss out on the hidden treasure within the building. The Seized Inventory Room and Cellar are filled with hidden treasure, but you need to be careful about how you access them.

The building is filled with Shadow-Cursed Vines, which continuously grow and try to attack the player. Defeating Gerringothe Thorm is recommended before attempting entry, but even then, you’ll need to be careful about how you approach it. The Shadow-Cursed Vines have 160 health and are resistant to various attacks. Climbing up the nearby ladder and collapsing the rotted roof is one way, but you can also use teleportation spells like Misty Step or just drop one character into the room.

Once you’ve managed to access the room, you’ll find some valuable equipment, but no rare or legendary loot. The Heavy Chest can be unlocked with a Thieves Tool Kit to find the Fireheart necklace. The necklace grants the wearer the Fervent Flames buff, which generates +2 Heat when the wearer is struck by Fire damage.

That’s everything you need to know about the Baldur’s Gate 3 Absolute cult and its hidden treasures. For more on the RPG game, here’s everything we know about the new Baldur’s Gate 3 companions, as well as what the best Baldur’s Gate 3 talents are.
