Baldur's Gate 3 Physical Edition Includes Multiple Items

The Baldur’s Gate 3 physical edition comes with a lot of stuff, with the obvious CDs and manuals to accompany the game itself. It also includes two maps and an item binder, all of which has left the game’s community divided over the importance of keeping your lucky pants – including the silver, golden, and bronze ones. Some people even express a desire for the ability to import items from old Baldur’s Gate saves.

Others mention the availability of blue and black pants. It’s not just that though, as there are extended editions of the game that come with additional items like cards, a mouse pad, and a t-shirt. Some of the community even express a desire for a fold-out map in Baldur’s Gate 3, reminiscent of older games where the map would spread out across your desk as you explored the world.

I love physical editions. To me, they represent a certain traditional style that many games now lack, with all sorts of different items in boxes and collectors’ editions. That said, this Baldur’s Gate 3 physical edition is rather excessive, requiring around 174 CDs (which is a lot, considering the game itself is just one disc).

There are certainly good points made by the community in the video above, with people expressing fondness for various items included and the general desire for a physical PC release – even if it’s just a box, key, and manual. Others question the need for five manuals (though I’d argue that people who enjoy reading appreciate them), while I particularly enjoyed the humorous comments, with people making jokes and light-hearted banter.

It’s a funny video, but I’d like to hear from you. Do you like physical editions? Is it important to you that the game comes with various collectible items? Let us know in the comments below.
