Baldur's Gate 3 Noxious Fumes and Deadly Traps

Beware of the Noxious Fumes and deadly traps found in the Underdark and Auntie Ethel's lair. If you're wondering how to deal with these hazards and progress in the RPG, we've got you covered. As you venture through this vast subterranean region, you'll come across deadly gases and the hag, who will try to kill you and anyone in your party. Thankfully, there are ways around this, from Perception checks to unbreakable items.

Noxious Fumes

You'll encounter Noxious Fumes as you travel through the Underdark. These gases are a major hazard, chipping away at your health as you stand in the way of vents. Thankfully, there's a way to prevent this from happening. Perception checks reveal vents, which you can then target to throw an unbreakable item onto them. This dissipates the fumes, allowing you to move freely.

There are some vents with hidden vents within them. You can reveal these by igniting the fumes, but be careful as doing so may ignite the gas, causing damage to you. If you're in doubt, throw something on the vents to be safe.

Deadly Traps

There are also some Peculiar Flowers littered throughout Auntie Ethel's lair. If you step on one, it explodes, dealing damage to anyone nearby.
