When Baldur’s Gate 3 launches, players will have the ability to use respec to freely experiment with character builds without having to restart the entire game. Larian Studios confirmed this option during a Q&A session on the official Discord server.

“You can always reset your class and redistribute your levels,” a character in the game states, giving players the opportunity to make changes.

The inclusion of respec in Baldur’s Gate 3 is likely to be a welcome addition for fans. It not only allows players to correct mistakes in character creation, but also encourages experimentation with different combinations of classes in multiclassing.

While the inclusion of respec has sparked some debate among fans, with concerns about its compatibility with the nature of Dungeons and Dragons, Larian Studios has the final say in how they handle it. Ultimately, they are allowing players to choose their own path.

The Power of Multiclassing

With respec, players can create multiclass characters that are both powerful and effective. The ability to try out various builds enhances the overall experience of the game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is set to release on August 3 for PC. In the meantime, players can check out everything known about the upcoming game, including guides to all the classes and subclasses, as well as the best races and classes for a multiclass character.
