Unlocking the Secret Vault in the Druid Grove
Are you seeking a secret vault in the Druid Grove? The peaceful Druids are a welcoming bunch, but they also have a treasure trove within their walls. To access it, you’ll need to solve a puzzle in the Enclave Library.
While in the Druid Grove, you may have noticed a suspicious door to one side of the central hall. The door is locked, and a treasure chest sits next to it. Naturally, you’re keen to get inside, but first, you’ll need to solve a puzzle. Here’s how to access the secret vault in the Druid Grove in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to Get the Wolf Rune in the Druid Grove
In the Enclave Library, you’ll find runes on pedestals, as well as a number of mysterious books around the walls. The Druid Grove’s puzzle revolves around the runes, as well as a powerful item called the Wolf Rune.
The Druid Grove library contains the following runes:
Missing from the lineup is the Wolf Rune, which is carried by Rath, Kagha’s second in command. There are three ways to obtain the Wolf Rune:
Once you have the Wolf Rune, interact with the empty pedestal in the library. This will open a crafting menu where you can place the Wolf Rune. Interacting with all the runes in the library light them up and lower a wolf statue, revealing some stairs.
What's Inside the Secret Vault
Inside the secret vault, you can find a number of valuable items, including some powerful potions. There’s also the rare weapon Sorrow, which is a staff that, as you’d expect, comes with the Drain Life spell. However, Sorrow also has the Ensnaring Strike spell, which can damage enemies and, more importantly, the user. Finally, there’s the Robe of Summer, which provides some protection against Cold damage.
Sorrow is a two-handed weapon, so you won’t be able to use a shield alongside it. Fortunately, its spell-casting abilities make up for this, but Sorrow also damages you. The Robe of Summer is armor, so you can wear it over other items.
The weapon and armor can be sold, with Sorrow netting you 250 Gold and the Robe of Summer 370 Gold. Of course, you’ll need to take into consideration the items’ stats and rarity before you sell, but these are the base prices.
