Baldur's Gate 3 Faith-Leap Trial walkthrough
Trying to beat the Baldur's Gate 3 Faith-Leap Trial? You're in for a real challenge, as this trial is notoriously difficult to complete. It's all about trial and error, so be prepared to die a lot as you try to conquer this gauntlet.
Shar's Gauntlet is one of the many quests that you can undertake in your playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3. However, the Faith-Leap Trial is what really sets this quest apart from others. This trial will truly test your patience, as you'll be jumping from platform to platform, unsure if you'll fall to your death. Here are some tips that will help you succeed in this trial.
The Faith-Leap Trial
The Faith-Leap Trial requires you to jump from platform to platform, all while trying not to fall off the invisible path. You'll have to reach the final platform before the timer runs out, or you'll plummet to your death.
Before you even begin the trial, try walking the slightly visible path. Quickly quicksave if you see part of the path, then reload and try to jump over to the section you saw. If you're lucky, you'll be able to make a few jumps to get a feel for the trial. Another method is to attempt to go through the trial with the console open, so you can see the path with a Baldur's Gate 3 walkthrough.
You only have three attempts to complete the Faith-Step Trial. If you fall off the path, you won't die right away. Instead, you'll die after your third attempt. No cheating allowed with Misty Step or Dimension Door.
If you fall off the path, simply use Jump to get back on the path. Sometimes, you'll be able to make a jumping shortcut to get to the final platform quickly.
The trial begins when you interact with the offering bowl near the end of the path. Follow the instructions below to navigate the trial successfully:
Once you reach the final platform, collect the Umbral Gem to complete the trial. You can now return to the beginning, triumphant in your trial completion.
