A 3D printed Buff Pikmin

A 3D printed Buff Pikmin, or PikMEN if you will, is receiving tons of positive feedback, with many users expressing their love for the muscular Nintendo characters. The designs are printed and, at the time of this writing, are on sale. Some users are jokingly concerned about Nintendo finding out about the project and requesting secrecy. Others are impressed by the muscular appearance of the Pikmin, calling them “ripped gods” and “THICKmin.” There are humorous comments about the double “C” in “THICCmin” and a lighthearted exchange about the lack of an obvious comment.

I’m happy to report that the 3D printed Buff Pikmin, or PikMEN, are not a dream, they actually exist (and you can buy them). I’m also happy to report that most of the comments are positive, with users showing appreciation through upvotes and compliments.

Most of the comments come across as playful and lighthearted, with some references to various names for the buff Pikmin. Some mention potential connections to anime, video games, and comics. Some users express interest in merchandise, suggesting they would pay for shirts or amiibo figures.

Here are some of the comments from the original post:

The overall sentiment is positive, but there are a few negative comments, mostly from people who are confused about what they’re seeing.

“Turn them into amiibo,” one user writes. “Or release them on Switch.” Another user replies, “They’ll come to Switch, but they’ll be Direct-exclusive.”

There are also a few playful comments about turning the PikMEN into an amiibo or releasing Pikmin on different consoles. “They’re not enough to get Switch sales,” one user replies.

The post also receives mixed reactions, with some users finding the project amusing and creative, while others express dislike or confusion. One user mentions that the word “Pik” has a different meaning in Danish, leading to a humorous response from another user:

“Turn them into a fighting game,” one user writes. “Buff Pikmin Fighting: The Game.” Others request the STL files to use the designs as wallpapers or profile pictures.

A few users suggest other characters to create in a similar style, such as Buff Dugtrio and Jacked Wario. There are also a few comments about the post being “derp” or “dank,” which I have no real explanation for.

I personally love this project, and I think it’s great to see people appreciate the creativity and muscular design of these buff Pikmin (and the STL files). If you would like to print your own, be sure to check out the files on Thingaverse.
