Looking for the First Druid Halsin in Baldur's Gate 3?
He's one of the druids you can find, free, and recruit in Baldur's Gate 3. After freeing the Emerald Grove from the clutches of the Drow, you'll need to head to the goblin camp where Halsin was captured. The waypoint to his location is extremely vague, so we'll help you figure out where to find him.
First Druid Halsin is just one of the many Baldur's Gate 3 companions you can recruit in the RPG game. You'll bump into him after encountering the Tieflings in the Emerald Grove. The Drow have captured them and others, intending to use their magic to power the Shattered Sanctum. Once you're given the quest to find Halsin, you'll be told to head to the Goblin Camp near the windmill in the Blighted Village. However, it's easy to miss him in this location, so here's where to find First Druid Halsin in BG3.
Where to find First Druid Halsin
The Goblin Camp near the windmill in the Blighted Village will have big heavy doors that lead to the Shattered Sanctum. A big guy is shouting at a chicken as your clue. Inside the sanctum, head right and cross the rickety wooden bridge to the Worg Pens.
If you've freed Sazza the goblin, it will help your cause. Otherwise, if you're playing as a Drow or have one in your party, it's a bit easier to access the sanctum.
Inside the sanctum, head right and cross a rickety wooden bridge to the Worg Pens. If you're not sure where to go, cast the "speak with animals" spell if you have it. There's a bear on the right side who is Halsin. Speak with him using the Illithid or Wisdom dialogue options to free him or fight the goblins.
After the battle, Halsin will transform back and speak about the altered tadpoles in your head. You can then recruit Halsin to your party to fight off the Drow leader and others. It's up to you to protect the Emerald Grove and him or join the Drow leader on her conquest.
If you protect the grove, Halsin will appear in your camp. You can then recruit him at that time. This is one of many ways to recruit companions in Baldur's Gate 3, including Eladrin Cleric Aysha and Drow Ranger Delyth.
