Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 season 4 patch notes are here, as update 18.12 is available now following the Call of Duty World War II Grand Finals, providing players with new maps, operators, and a big change to the game’s extraction shooter DMZ mode in the multiplayer game. However, you’ll probably never see it, as this season lasts a mere 48 days, down from the full 63 days of season 3, meaning you’ll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on the battle pass.
The new maps include Vondel, a very Call of Duty-esque “medium-sized map” with a vaguely Dutch theme for Warzone 2 modes such as DMZ and Resurgence, and six new multiplayer maps for Core, Gunfight, and Battle modes as well.
There’s also a couple of new operators, Nikto, a former FSB agent we know little about, as well as Ana Vega, a special forces lady and apparently star of the new Spain-set Blackcell episode, who is accompanied by a dog known as Luca. Finally, there’s even another new Blackcell character, who you can see in the cinematic trailer embedded below.
DMZ has been resettled, too, with a forward operating base that you can upgrade by completing missions to provide passive advantages on the field. You can see more details on the mode, via developer Iloh’s patch notes, below:
There’s more as well, with a new bunch of weapons and various other tweaks that can be seen on the official Call of Duty patch notes page.

That’s everything in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 season 4 patch notes. Thankfully, it’s only 48 days long so you won’t have long to complete it if you decide to start it. Not sure where to sign up? Don’t forget to browse through all the Warzone 2 cosmetics available in the game currently, as none of them will be available forever, so the quicker you complete a battle pass the better.
