Call of Duty: Warzone 2 introduces superpowers from The Boys comic book series
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is adding literal superpowers for a limited time in the form of The Boys (actually, The Seven). The group known as The Seven is a violent, corrupt, and morally bankrupt group of superheroes, who will now be playable characters in a campaign mission and in multiplayer. The crossover may seem strange and tone-deaf, given that The Boys are known for being the worst kind of people. But what else would you expect from the fictional group of comic book characters?
Homelander, the leader of The Seven, is a mass murderer, rapist, and deranged lunatic. The actual Boys, on the other hand, are dedicated to fighting The Seven’s corruption. It would have been more fitting to have Butcher or Frenchie as playable characters.
That said, I’m happy that Stormfront isn’t part of this crossover, and that at least some of the characters are actually usable (even if they’re relatively weak compared to the rest of the cast). I’m also relieved that the new additions aren’t the actual Boys.
The Homelander Operator, Black Noir Operator, and Starlight Operator are the new additions to Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Ordinary players can still compete with superpowered characters, however, thanks to the Temp V field upgrade.
Temp V grants players one of four random superpowers when consumed. Unlike other field upgrades, Temp V powers can be activated multiple times. If a player is eliminated before activating the power, they will drop it.
