Call of Duty: Warzone players frustrated by game-breaking bug
Call of Duty: Warzone players are reporting a new, infuriating bug in the Activision FPS game that leaves them stuck in Call of Duty purgatory, unable to participate in the rest of the match. This bug has been causing frustration among players who have survived until the final circle, only to be trapped in a never-ending cycle.
The gulag is the game's second chance system, allowing players to earn their way back into the match if they get killed early on. However, some players have found themselves trapped in the gulag, seemingly unable to fight for their way back. YouTuber S3xyB3arMan has captured a video showing how this bug occurs. After getting killed, the player is taken to the gulag, sees the prompt to fight for their spot, but the duel never happens.
S3xyB3arMan patiently waited in the gulag and eventually the last opponent died, allowing them to return to the match. However, they were quickly stuck in the gulag again, experiencing this frustrating cycle repeatedly. In one instance, they were trapped with another player for 15 minutes while the other player took a smoke break.
It is still unclear if this bug is a deliberate exploit or simply a bug that players are exploiting. One player reported being stuck in the gulag while their enemy was able to fight and win a 1v1, suggesting that it is not triggered deliberately by players. While this bug is incredibly annoying, it does not appear to be as widespread or game-breaking as previous exploits in Call of Duty: Warzone. Currently, it is not listed on Warzone's official known issues tracker, so it may take some time before it is fixed.
