A leaked image of Modern Warfare 3 artwork and logo hints at the return of fan-favorite Captain Price, as the energy drink maker partners with the FPS.

With the Modern Warfare 3 release date coming later this year, fans are already looking ahead to what the next Call of Duty game has in store. Following the success of Modern Warfare 2, the next entry in the FPS series has already seen a few leaks, with one suggesting a return for fan-favorite Captain Price. Now, with a new collaboration between Monster Energy and Call of Duty, we're getting a glimpse of what could be Captain Price's comeback in Modern Warfare 3.

Leaked artwork and a logo for Modern Warfare 3 show a character resembling Captain Price seemingly in the third-person shooter. Modern Warfare 3 is set to be a sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and will see a return to the modern era.

This new image, shared by the official Call of Duty Twitter account, features an older Captain Price as well as a Monster Energy logo. This marks the first time Monster Energy has partnered with a Call of Duty game, although we don't know what the deal entails just yet.

"Introducing the first-ever Monster Energy partnership with Call of Duty," the tweet reads, alongside the artwork and logo.

Captain Price has long been a fan-favorite character in the Call of Duty series, with his first appearance in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Although it's not clear whether or not Captain Price will be playable in Modern Warfare 3, it looks like he'll play a large part in the game nonetheless.

With Modern Warfare 3 still quite a way out, we've got a list of the best FPS games you can play right now, from the indomitable Quake to contemporary classics like Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six.
