A fan creates a photo based on the PlayStation 1 intro cutscene of beloved RPG game Chrono Trigger, and the image immediately garners praise for its craftsmanship, framing accuracy, and nostalgic ability. The photo, which shows a character passing through the Masamune shop with the full background and foreground in view, recalls the days when we all sat in front of our TVs, waiting for our favorite games to load.

“I made this using a laser engraver/cutter and various types of naturally colored wood,” the user writes, though they don’t say whether it is for sale. “I made the design, created cut lines, then did all the rest using traditional woodworking methods.”

Many users express their love for the photo and for Chrono Trigger. One writes, “I would frame this and put it on my wall,” while another says, “I’d want to buy this just to hang it in my living room.”

“This is by far one of my favorite Chrono Trigger photos ever made,” one user writes, while another says, “This brings back so many memories. I would love to see the rest of the shop.”

Some mention that the PS1 version of Chrono Trigger is their favorite because of the cutscene, despite the longer load times. Others mention their preference for the Steam version because of its improvements, while some prefer the mobile game version or the DS version.

“I wish I could buy it,” one writes, to which another replies, “Me too, even if it costs a fortune.” A humorous comment says, “I’d pay $5 just to see that background up close.” The reply? “It’s a cut above.”
