How to Find the Cavern Key
The Cavern is a hidden biome in Dead Cells that requires a specific key for access. To obtain the Cavern Key, you need to defeat the final boss and acquire a rune that allows you to detach your head from your body.
Unlocking the Cavern
To reach the Cavern, you must first progress through the Ancient Sewers and Insufferable Crypt after the Toxic Sewers. In the Insufferable Crypt, defeat Conjunctivius, a giant eyeball, to obtain the Homunculus Rune.
After defeating Conjunctivius, continue through the Ancient Sewers and Insufferable Crypt until you reach a door leading to the Graveyard.
Accessing the Cavern
In the Graveyard, you'll find a locked door, but further ahead, you'll discover the Graveyard Key. Use this key to unlock the door and enter a room with a blue chest. Inside, you'll find the Abyssal Gem.
The Abyssal Gem allows you to create a portal to the Abyss, a secret area where you can destroy the Corruption. Be aware that using the Abyssal Gem will destroy the Abyssal Portals that provide access to the normal world, so make sure you've finished exploring other areas before creating the portal.
Return to the Graveyard through the Abyssal Portal and locate a stone monument with a symbol matching the Cavern Key. Insert the Cavern Key to open the passage to the Cavern biome.
Inside the Cavern, you'll encounter locked doors and switches. Use your detached head to jump, stick to walls, and activate the switches to unlock the doors and explore the secret area.
