Divinity Original Sin 2 Review

Looking for a must-play RPG? Well, you’re in luck, as our Divinity Original Sin 2 review suggests you should definitely play this game if you’re a fan of the genre. With an amazing story and some of the best SRPG gameplay around, it’s no wonder some of us here at PC Game Spotlight have named it as one of our favourite games of all time.

Of course, you might be wondering if there are any better alternatives, or whether you should play it after something else. With this in mind, here are some recommendations for playing Divinity Original Sin 2, whether that’s some other games in the series or a different RPG entirely.

Play Divinity Original Sin 2 after these other games:

Here are some other RPGs that some users recommend playing after Baldur’s Gate 3:

  • Divinity Original Sin 2: “Freedom, story, and gameplay; everything is so damn good.”
  • “The freedom to do whatever you want, and the ability to completely screw up and still be able to recover make this game truly unique.”
  • “The combat is very good, and the story is on par with other games like Mass Effect.”
  • “The customization is by far the best in any RPG I’ve played, and the combat is also very good.”
  • “The navigation of the quests was difficult and I wish there was a clearer marker.”
  • “The power scaling was ridiculous; I was able to kill a dragon before the end of the prologue.”
  • “The journey of becoming powerful warriors is really enjoyable; I wish there was a difficulty option I could play on.”
  • Baldur’s Gate 3: “The voice acting and cutscenes are great, but I prefer the combat in Divinity Original Sin 2.”
  • “I struggled with the difficulty in BG3; I wish there was an option to turn on auto-level, which I understand exists in a lot of games.”
  • “I found myself playing aggressively every turn, using all my skills and items effectively, and still dying quite often.”
  • “I watched some videos of Divinity Original Sin 2’s combat and now I understand the game a lot more.”
  • “The music in Cyseal is beautiful, I’m going to buy the soundtrack as soon as I beat the game.”
  • “The slow pace of the first game was a bit of an issue, as was the limited healing options.”
  • “Divinity Original Sin 2 has a bedroll which you can use to heal and rest.”
  • “I’m just starting the first game after owning the second for a while, any tips for success?”
