Discovering the Rarest Gear in Elden Ring

There is a vast array of items in Elden Ring, and you’ll probably want to know which ones you should be spending your time farming for. We’ve already made a guide on the best gear in the game, but if you’re hoping to get your hands on some of the rarest drops, you’d best prepare yourself for some serious grinds.

The Inverted Hawk Towershield may not sound all that impressive, but considering that it’s a rare Greatshield, you’ll understand why it’s so hard to come by. The Fallen Hawk Soldiers located in the Saint’s Folly tower drop this item at a one percent drop rate, making it one of the Elden Ring rare items you’ll need to work for. We’ve also got the Elden Ring Magma Blade and its ridiculous drop rate, as well as some other weapons and gear you may be farming for.

The Best Rare Items and Their Drop Rates in Elden Ring

The Rune Arcs can be found with a drop rate between 0.50 and one percent. Thankfully, there’s an area you can farm them in. The three-way fight in Hornchurch between the rats, the guards, and the giant rats ends as soon as you kill the boss rat, so you only have to clear this area once.

You can farm the Rune Arcs in the following locations:

The Celebrants, the happy dancing women of Windmill Village, drop three different weapons at a 0.50 percent drop rate. You can find them in the following locations:

Wandering Nobles have a 0.50 percent drop rate for two unique weapons: the Noble’s Estoc and the Noble’s Slender Sword. We have the location for both weapons below.

The Aristocrat Headband is a rare drop from Wandering Nobles. It provides magical resistance, making it more useful than the Noble’s Hat, and it also gives you a stylish look.

The Stone Imp Heads include the Cat, Fanged, and Long-Tongued variants, with each one dropping from specific Imps with a 0.50 percent chance. The Cat Stone Imp Head has a unique design, but it’s one of the best Elden Ring rare items, so it’s worth the grind. You can also make the Stone Imp Head Ornament which you can use to decorate your home.

We’re still looking for the location for the rare helmet known as the Eldritch Horror Helmet, which can only drop from Land Octopuses at a 0.50 percent drop rate.

The Black Dumpling is a dark hood that looks quite stylish and raises your attack power when suffering from the Madness status effect, so it’s useful if you’re playing as the Mad Knight. It drops from First Generation Albinaurics at a 0.50 percent rate.

And that’s everything you need to know about the rarest items in Elden Ring.
