Fallout 4 Player Recreates Diagon Alley from Harry Potter

Thomas ‘Tom_Servo’ Fahringer has built what is possibly the most impressive fan creation we’ve seen in the open-world game. Fahringer has recreated Diagon Alley, home to Harry Potter’s wizarding school, Hogwarts, and countless other locations from the famed book and movie series.

With Fallout 4 mod capacity steadily increasing year on year, and some of the most popular mods catering to the base game being overhauls of major Bethesda games, it’s no surprise that even an achievement like this is possible in the game. Still, it’s impressive, and has garnered praise from many users.

“This is what happens when Harry Potter gets guns,” one user comments, while others make jokes about Americanizing Harry Potter. The creator playfully names the creation ‘Diagonelly,’ as a pun on the well-known movie quote from the Harry Potter series, ‘Diagonally.’

“This is not a mod,” one user responds in disbelief. “This is not a mod,” another echoes, highlighting that anything is possible in the game with enough mods.

Fahringer shares his own experiences with unconventional mods in Fallout 4, highlighting the use of Fallout 4’s building tool workshop mode to create a miniature golf course, complete with windmill.

“I can’t believe this actually works,” one user comments, while another compares the visual style of Fahringer’s creation to the game Bloodborne.

“How did you not get frustrated during the building process?” another asks. “Turn off the auto snap feature,” another responds, highlighting how large the Fallout 4 mod community is and the solutions it can offer to even the most complex building problems.

While some users express admiration for the dedication to recreating Diagon Alley in Fallout 4, others have a humorous response. “I’ll go outside and touch some grass on your behalf,” one user offers to the creator, while another offers, “Let’s go to virtual Diagon Alley for some magical items and Butterbeer.”
