Wondering what the best Fallout 4 moments are?
Following the incredible Fallout 4 review from our own Rob Keyes, we thought we’d delve into some of our favourite moments – from the main story quests, to meeting new companions, and even the odd random encounter.
From the captivating post-apocalyptic Boston wasteland to the expansive open world, Fallout 4 is one of the best PC games currently available. While the main story is captivating, it’s the side quests, companions, and random encounters that really make Fallout 4 stand out. There are so many great moments in the game, but these are ten of our favourites.
Here are the best Fallout 4 moments:
The Prydwen
The Prydwen, a massive airship, showcases the intense conflict in the Commonwealth. Emerging from the safety of the vault, you’re left in awe of this floating behemoth and the impressive power it holds.
The introductory sequence to the Prydwen offers a glimpse into the main faction, the Brotherhood of Steel. It’s here that players are introduced to Proctor Ingram and given the chance to meet Nick Valentine, a synth detective who uncovers secrets and takes you on a wild ride.
Stepping out of Vault 111 for the first time
Stepping out of Vault 111 for the first time is a pivotal moment in Fallout 4. It’s the moment your adventure truly begins and highlights the fragility of life. It forces you to reflect on your past and the decisions you’ve made and will continue to make throughout the game.
The Battle of Bunker Hill
The Battle of Bunker Hill brings factions together in an intense, morally complicated conflict. It provides a compelling narrative, forcing you to choose a side and play your part in an attack on the Institute.
As the gunfire and explosions begin to die down, you’re left with a choice – who will you side with? This pivotal moment in the game requires you to choose between the Brotherhood of Steel, the Minutemen, and the Railroad. Whichever faction you choose will launch an all-out attack on the Institute. The action is intense, and the decision is difficult.
Memory Den
The Memory Den is a new location in Fallout 4, offering a glimpse into vivid memories, allowing you to learn more about the characters you’re meeting in the Commonwealth.
These moments offer a deeper understanding of the struggles each character has endured and the people they’ve lost. As you dive into these memories, you can learn about Kellogg, Desdemona, and the workers at Mass Fusion.
The Mechanist
The Mechanist is a new villain in Fallout 4 and their army of killer robots is a force to be reckoned with. At one point, you’ll encounter the Mechanist’s army, which will give you a chance to try out the new combat mechanics and test your mettle against a genius villain.
This epic battle against a maniacal villain and their army of killer robots is worthy of its own side quest, and there’s plenty of loot to be claimed, too.
USS Constitution takes flight
The USS Constitution is one of the best Fallout 4 locations, and it’s all thanks to the flying battleship taking off. As you explore the Commonwealth, you’ll discover how to restore the USS Constitution, and when you do, you’re treated to a unique view of the post-apocalyptic cityscape.
Become the legendary Silver Shroud
Becoming the Silver Shroud is a pretty cool moment in Fallout 4. As you begin to uncover the identity of the Silver Shroud, you’ll be given the opportunity to don the Silver Shroud costume and become the vigilante hero, taking down criminals in a deep, gritty voice.
Liberty Prime makes a comeback
The return of Liberty Prime is one of the best Fallout 4 moments because of the patriotism it instills. After a long absence, Liberty Prime makes a powerful comeback and reminds you of the spirit of freedom.
Liberty Prime features in the first add-on for Fallout 4, Fallout 4: The Freedom to Save or Destroy, and is a powerful weapon against the Institute.
