Esprit's Way Off Broadway show in Final Fantasy XIV features a macro dance troupe performing numbers from popular musicals, utilizing emotes and job skill actions to synchronize their routines to music played via Cytube. Despite limitations, such as the lack of access to props and costumes, Esprit manages to create impressive routines with familiar costumes and well-timed dance moves.
From Anastasia to Purple Rain, Esprit's performance highlights include numbers from a variety of musicals. The troupe adds humor to their performances, including a quirky nod to the film Enchanted during their rendition of “That’s How You Know.”
Despite the fact that the troupe members are not wearing costumes matching those used by their counterparts in the stage show, their attention to detail in recreating the stage show costuming is impressive, especially during their performance of “When the Going Gets Tough” from The SpongeBob Musical.
Esprit also showcases their synchronized skills when multiple members of the troupe perform together on stage. The show concludes with a performance of “The Greatest Show” from The Greatest Showman.
