Final Fantasy 16: Clive's Battle Against Inner Demons
Clive finds himself confronted by his inner demons in one of the most difficult boss fights in Final Fantasy 16. The climactic battle takes place in the RPG game's Forbidden Land of Ivory, where Clive faces off against the formidable Infernal Eikon.
This battle is not your run-of-the-mill fight against an oversized creature. It is a battle within Clive's own mind, triggered by the traumatic events that occurred in the Phoenix Gate Ruins. Here, Clive's father, Wolt, succumbed to the darkness of an artefact, leaving a lasting impact on his son.
The battle begins with the Infernal Eikon, Ifrit, attacking Clive. Ifrit's Crimson Rush is a melee attack that requires Clive to dodge. In the third phase of the battle, Ifrit also utilizes Fiery Stomp and Tail Swipe. Other dangerous moves include Vulcan Burst, where Ifrit spews flames in all directions, and Fire Rain, which unleashes a series of fireballs from the sky. Quick reflexes and well-timed dodges are crucial to avoid taking too much damage in this epic battle.
To increase your chances of success, we recommend equipping Clive with abilities that can stagger Ifrit, such as Wicked Wheel and Wild Oats. These skills will help deplete Ifrit's health bar faster and minimize the amount of damage you take.
Final Fantasy 16 Ifrit Tips
Pay close attention to Ifrit's Vulcan Burst and Fire Rain attacks, as they can catch you off guard. While focusing on other attacks, it's important to keep an eye out for these moves. You can finish off Ifrit with a Thunder spell after dealing a considerable amount of damage.
Upon defeating Ifrit, Clive's journey in the Forbidden Land of Ivory is far from over. He realizes that the Infernal Eikon he faced was not merely a mindless creature, but rather a manifestation of the people and soldiers who had succumbed to the darkness within the ruins.
Now, Clive finds himself facing his greatest enemy – himself. The Infernal Shadow steps forward to engage in battle. Clive's Hellfire and Tempest blades play a significant role in this fight. With Combat Arts and Limit Break unlocked for the Dragoon, Clive can unleash devastating finishers with precise input sequences. Alternatively, the Limit Break function provides an upgraded form of the Hellfire and Tempest combos, along with resistance to stuns. By paying attention to the input prompts and managing the limit gauge, Clive can unleash these finishers and overcome his enemies.
The battle concludes with a Cinematic Sequence, where Clive emerges victorious over himself or the illusion created by the cursed artefact. Standing triumphantly in the Forbidden Land of Ivory, Clive's moment of celebration is short-lived as he must now face one of the most powerful creatures seen thus far.
