The first game that most people mention is Resistance and, of course, the first one is the best one. Many also recommend getting a cheaper/newer PS3 and a PS2 instead of a backwards compatible PS3, as there are some potential issues that you should be aware of.
The PSN store still works, but it’s expected to shut down soon, but you can still run almost all PS1 games. Others are considering getting a PS Vita, but are unsure about the lifespan of the servers.
