Horticular: A Gardening Game
The Horticular demo on Steam offers a glimpse into the main aspects of this Gardening game, including a storyline, battling decay and corruption, and creating peaceful gardens. While the gameplay seems simple enough – create a beautiful garden layout – the developers promise that it’s not as easy as it seems. Players will need to consider substrate requirements for different plants, and strategically combine them to attract animals and improve the overall habitat.
Horticular challenges players to create a beautiful garden within limitations. Players begin small but can expand as they earn money by attracting happy plants and animals. By collecting magic plant nectar, players can use it to create beautiful decorations. Players will also be participating in gardening competitions.

Players will enrich their gardens by adding new residents, which allows for more space to arrange. Since each plant and animal has specific substrate requirements, players will need to consider this when arranging the garden. Arranging the garden strategically will maximize its potential to attract more plants and animals.
