Mortal Kombat 2 Cast Revealed
Mortal Kombat 2 has released its first official cast photo, showcasing the new faces and characters joining the fighting game movie sequel. We saw glimpses of the new characters in the Mortal Kombat 2 trailer, but the full roster is now revealed, and it includes some notable new actors.
The Mortal Kombat 2 cast sees a bunch of new faces joining the ranks, and some returning favourites. The main antagonist, the ultimate final boss, returns – and he’s not getting any less difficult to beat this time around. Shao Kahn, the giant barbarian warlord, will be portrayed by bodybuilder and actor Martyn Ford. He’s joined by Queen Sindel, his wife, who will make her debut in the Mortal Kombat universe played by Ana Thu Nguyen.
Mortal Kombat 2 brings a fresh roster of fighters and actors to the franchise, with Kitana making her long-awaited appearance. She’ll be played by Adeline Rudolph, alongside her bodyguard Jade, played by Tati Gabrielle. It’s been a long wait, but Johnny Cage is finally here – the fan favourite will make his debut in the Mortal Kombat film played by Karl Urban. He’s joined by Desmond Chiam, who will portray King Jerrod – Kitana’s father.

While official character bios and roles haven’t been revealed just yet, the debut trailer and photo shoot gives us some insight into the film’s story. The reign of Outworld and the destruction of the Edenian Kingdom are likely to be key factors in the narrative.
We’ve got our fingers crossed that Mortal Kombat 2 will feature some of the series’ most popular characters like Kung Lao and Baraka in prominent roles. The characters’ portrayals and roles in the film are speculative at this point, but the additions of Quan Chi and Shao Kahn are promising.
Quan Chi’s role as a conniving and manipulative villain is a staple of the series, and his appearance in the first film is sure to have a significant impact on the story. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Johnny Cage since the first film’s announcement, and his portrayal by Karl Urban has already sparked some strong feelings among the MK fanbase.
