Save Deimos in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Odyssey tells a tale of family, with the protagonist, Bayek, and his wife, Aya, raising two children, Ktef and Deimos. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes early on when Deimos is believed to be dead. However, it is later revealed that Deimos has been brainwashed by the Cult of Kosmos and is now under their control.

Throughout the game, players have the opportunity to interact with historical figures from Greek and Roman history while battling the Cult. Many quests, including The Last of the Demophages, explore the cult's insidious brainwashing methods. As players progress through Assassin's Creed Odyssey, they will eventually have the chance to save Deimos if they have earned enough goodwill with them.

How to Save Deimos

To save Deimos, players must accumulate enough goodwill with them during the game. The key to achieving this is to make passive and non-confrontational choices during conversations with Deimos, avoiding unnecessary aggravation or dishonesty.

Players will also encounter their long-lost mother, Myrrine, who shares the desire to save Deimos if possible. By choosing the option to "We'll get him/her back," players will have the opportunity to save Deimos later on.

The pivotal moment to save Deimos occurs during the Battle of Pylos when players attempt to rescue them from a burning tree. Although the rescue attempt is unsuccessful, it is crucial for Deimos to see that players made the effort.

After being kidnapped by the Cult of Kosmos, players will have another conversation with Deimos to sway their opinion. It is important to note that the conversation immediately prior to this one is a prerequisite for success.

Following a reliable conversation path recommended by others, players will reach the final part of this quest. An interruption by a cultist named Kleon reveals that Deimos' brainwashing is starting to break down.

The ultimate confrontation between players and Deimos takes place with Myrrine at their side. Players will be asked to kill the cultist who harmed Deimos before facing them.

When asked about Deimos, players can suggest that they might still be alive. Choosing the option "I don't want to fight you" allows players to offer Deimos their spear instead. If this is done correctly, Deimos will drop to their knees and cry, signaling their salvation.
