Players attending with tickets have also expressed frustration at being at a disadvantage, with some players even resorting to purchasing additional tickets in order to increase their chances of encountering Pokemon.
Players have taken to social media to express their disappointment at having limited spawns during the highly anticipated annual event. “Ticket holder here and I’ve gotten one wild Pokemon,” one player tweets. “I feel like I’m at a disadvantage compared to the non-ticket holders.”
“I’m a ticket holder and I’m only seeing one wild Pokemon every ten minutes,” another player says. “Is this a bug? I’m at one of the stops right now.”
Other players express frustration at the lack of communication from developer Niantic on the issue, despite complaints flooding social media platforms. Many players hope that Niantic will address the problem sooner rather than later.
This isn’t the first time such a problem has occurred during a Pokemon Go event, with similar spawn-related issues occurring in past Go Fest events. Previous Go Fest events also faced similar problems, with players expressing frustration at not being able to catch certain Pokemon at special spawns.
It’s still early days for Pokemon Go Fest 2023, with Day 2 still to come. Hopefully, Niantic will take swift action to rectify the problem, and players will be able to enjoy the game as they normally would during the annual event.
