Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: The Teal Mask Expansion

The first Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC is coming next month, as The Teal Mask expansion launches on September 13 alongside the main game. We’ve got the entire Pokemon presentation in one handy place, with all the news on the upcoming Gens 9 and 10 coming to Pokemon Go, along with news on the new Detective Pikachu game and a look ahead to the Pokemon World Championships later this year.

The Indigo Disk DLC

First, we have news on the next Pokemon games, with The Indigo Disk DLC coming in Winter 2023. The expansion takes place in Blueberry Academy, a school focused on Pokemon battling, and features a new challenge called the BB League with its own Elite Four.

We get a look at the new evolution for Duraludon, which resembles a giant clam shell, along with other characters in The Indigo Disk. No release date is given for the DLC, but it’s expected sometime later this year.

The Teal Mask DLC

The Teal Mask DLC, launching next month, introduces three new Pokemon: Okidogi, a retro style cat that resembles a hot dog; Munkidori, a watermelon that can use sound waves; and Fezandipiti, a Fez-wearing fairy that can heal and revive Pokemon.

It also shows off the game’s first minigames, where you ride your Pokemon through rings to get prizes. There’s also a glimpse of a new Applin form, Dipplin, which seems to resemble a candy apple.

We also have a look at three new Mega Evolutions revealed in Gen 9. We also get a glimpse of the GBA Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon Stadium 2, both of which are coming to Nintendo Switch Online later today.
