Who's the Pokemon you want to see in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC?

These are just a few of ours. With 1010 Pokemon through nine generations, it makes it a bit difficult to include all of them in one game, even if the Switch is more capable than ever before.

Scarlet and Violet launched with less than half, coming in at 400 total. The new DLCs bring with them a chance to see old Pokemon who didn't make the original cut. Here are ten Pokemon we hope to see in the new games.

Charmander

Of course Charmander would be a top contender. Charmander's popularity is undeniable, and has been enough to earn it a special place in recent games. The Salamander has already been confirmed as one of the Pokemon coming in the first Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC, so we may not need to include them here.

Squirtle

Squirtle and Bulbasaur haven't been nearly as lucky, however. The starter trio is a part of the series that many Pokemon fans take personally, so seeing them included in the base game would be a nice touch.

Cubone

Cubone is a cute little Pokemon with a tragic backstory and a great evolution. Most of the Pokemon with swords, or Pokemon who are swords. Who's picky?

Farfetch'd

Farfetch'd was an underwhelming and somewhat forgettably basic gen one Pokemon. Most of the newer generation have overshadowed this bird, but perhaps with a new move set, it could be more than it once was.

Pokemon with swords, or Pokemon who are swords. Who's picky?

Aegislash

Aegislash is a Pokemon that we could go on forever about. Its shield form and sword form, which changes depending on the moves it's using, is a mechanic that makes the Pokemon unique and interesting. Generation 8 introduced some unique evolution mechanics, and Aegislash is probably one of the best examples of this.

Alcremie

Generation 8 also introduced some Pokemon with unique evolution mechanics, and Alcremie is probably one of the best examples of this. Alcremie changes depending on the weather, but it's also a Pokemon that changes depending on the moves it's using. If you use moves that increase its special attack, it becomes Alcremie Ciel, while using physical moves makes it Alcremie Terre.

Chandelure

Chandelure suffers from being part of the generation to introduce Trubbish and other undesirable Pokemon designs. While many have improved over the years, Chandelure may have been left behind.

Bug-type Pokemon may have gotten better over the years, but Butterfree is one that still lives in our hearts.

Excadrill

Excadrill was a surprise powerhouse, if you knew what you were doing. For those who didn't know, it's a ground/steel type with a unique ability to move through terrain. The only problem is that you couldn't find out until you got to the move tutor, who taught it the move dig.

Tyranitar

Tyranitar is a Pokemon you have to work for. Its base stats are underwhelming, but once you get it up to level 55 and use Dusk Stone, you'll be rewarded with one of the best special attackers in the game.

Butterfree

This cute dog Pokemon is absent from all Switch games, making it a nightmare for people trying to build Living Dexes. If not for competitive reasons, maybe one day it will be in the game just because it's a nice Pokemon.

Furfrou

Furfrou may not be a surprise pick for your competitive team, but Furfrou is a good boy, and good boys deserve to finally be in a Switch game.

And those are just a few of our Pokemon Scarlet and Violet hopes and dreams. What about you? Who do you think deserves a second chance? And for those who are less popular, perhaps a third?
