Every Pokemon game on Nintendo Switch

Looking for a list of every Pokemon game on Nintendo Switch? The Switch is a haven for Pokemon games, and for good reason – there’s something for basically every kind of Pokemon fan. Whether you’re looking for the deep, turn-based combat of a mainline game, the cute, free-to-play mechanics of Pokemon Quest, or the high-octane fights of Pokken Tournament DX, there’s a game on this list for you.

Of course, as the Nintendo Switch has been around for a while now, this is a list of games that can only grow. Just last year, Pokemon Sword & Shield introduced the new Galar region, complete with new features like Max Raid battles. In the meantime, there are plenty of re-releases and remakes to play through – and we’ve got them all for you here.

Cafe ReMix

Cafe ReMix is a sweet puzzle game where you run a cafe and serve treats to your favourite Pokemon. As you solve puzzles and complete levels, you attract new Pokemon to your team and strengthen your bond with them.

You can even dress up your Pokemon in outfits they’d never wear in their natural habitats – which is definitely a selling point. Cafe ReMix isn’t challenging in the slightest, but it’s an adorable and rewarding game that’s perfect for a bit of lighthearted fun.

Pokemon: Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of the 2006 games that feature updated graphics, new features, and all 721 Pokemon from the Sinnoh region.

Pokemon: Pokken Tournament DX

This arcade-style fighting game is heavily inspired by the Tekken series, pitting your favourite Pokemon against each other in combat. There are over 100 Pokemon you can use, each with their own movesets, and the game regularly sees balance patches and new Pokemon being added to the roster.

Pokemon: New Pokemon Snap

New Pokemon Snap is a surprise follow-up to the original game, allowing you to explore and photograph Pokemon in their natural habitats. While not quite as charming as Cafe ReMix, Pokemon Snap is a great way to spend a few hours if you’re looking for a relaxing game to unwind with at the end of the day.

Pokemon: Unite

Pokemon Unite is the latest free-to-play game on this list. Unite sees teams of five compete to score the most points by defeating wild Pokemon. In each battle, you can use the environment to your advantage to deal extra damage.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX is a remake of the DS games that mixes adorable cartoon characters with unique gameplay. Your character gets turned into a Pokemon by a mischevious spirit, and must work with a team of other Pokemon to solve puzzles and complete quests.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are open-world games that let you explore the Galar region at your own pace. Both games have multiple storylines and a huge range of Pokemon to catch, so you can easily spend dozens of hours with these games.

Pokemon Lets Go Eevee & Lets Go Pikachu

Pokemon Lets Go Eevee and Lets Go Pikachu are remakes of the Kanto region. While these games are fairly similar to the originals, there are a few key differences, most notably the element from Pokemon Go that lets you use your smartphone to attract wild Pokemon to the game.

Pokemon Sword & Shield

Pokemon Sword and Shield introduced a whole new region in the fictional Galar region. While the core gameplay is largely the same as previous games in the series, Sword & Shield introduced new features like Max Raid battles – battles against raid bosses with up to 15 other players.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Arceus is a game changer for the series, allowing you to explore vast landscapes and catch Pokemon in their natural habitats. While the combat isn’t quite as fun as other games in the series, the exploration is reminiscent of Breath of the Wild, making Arceus a must-play for any Pokemon fan.

Pokemon: Light Platinum

Light Platinum is a remake of Platinum with a few additional features, most notably the Ultra Space mode that allows you to access a number of different Pokemon games.
