Red Dead Redemption 2 Hidden Locations
Rockstar Game’s massive single-player experience, Red Dead Redemption 2, offers an expansive map with countless hidden spots waiting to be explored. While venturing through the swamps, countryside, and forests, it's easy to overlook some of these hidden areas, which contain a variety of secrets. From supernatural phenomena to historical references and amusing cosmetics, these hidden locations offer surprises at every turn.
Aberdeen Pig Farm
One intriguing secret spot is the Aberdeen Pig Farm. This farm is home to an incestuous couple who entice unsuspecting strangers and then murder and consume them. Although dark and grim, the Aberdeen Pig Farm is a fascinating discovery.
To find the Aberdeen Pig Farm, follow the train tracks north of the “B” in Bluewater Marsh and take the northbound road to the farm’s driveway.
West Elizabeth’s Big Valley
In West Elizabeth’s Big Valley, you can stumble upon a ravine containing a stuffed gorilla statue. This prop has a real-life connection, as it was purchased along with others in the late 18th century. Although the fate of these gorillas remains unclear, they were eventually stuffed and can now be found in the Royal Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
To locate the stuffed gorilla, search for the ravine just south of the “Y” in Big Valley and examine the debris at the bottom.
The Grizzlies
The Grizzlies offer breathtaking views, but beware of unexpected bear attacks. At the top of the East Grizzlies near Cumberland Forest, you’ll encounter a meditating monk. While he remains unresponsive to conversation, you can disrupt his meditation through dishonorable means and enjoy the same awe-inspiring view.
New Ambarino
In the wild forests of New Ambarino, a hidden cauldron awaits you nestled between a tree hut. Known as the Witches Cauldron, drinking from it refills all of your cores. Don't hesitate to make use of this magical advantage.
To find the Witches Cauldron, venture to the hills northeast of Fort Wallace in the Grizzlies East region. The Witch’s Hut is located above the “N” in Ambarino.
Ghost Hunting
For those seeking supernatural thrills, the northwest area of Lemonye is the place to be. Head to the region directly south of the “L” in Lemoyne, where a ghost train passes by during the early morning hours.
Antler Knife
Near Hanging Dog Ranch in northwest West Elizabeth, lies a deceased bear with an Antler Knife embedded in it. Beneath the bear lies its unfortunate victim. The sequence of events leading to their demise remains a mystery, but you have the opportunity to claim the knife for yourself.
To find the Antler Knife, travel northwest of Hanging Dog Ranch, to the east of the Little Creek River. Look for the dead bear on a small path near a cabin.
Marko Dragic Quest
The Marko Dragic quest is a rewarding endeavor that involves a clear reference to the famed inventor Nikola Tesla and a remarkable robotic automaton.
Robotic Automaton
After completing the “A Bright Bouncing Boy” quest, you'll acquire the Electric Lantern. Journey to the far northwest part of the map, located between Colter and Spider Gorge. In this area, you'll discover a small cave. Ascend the ladder inside the cave to find the robotic automaton in a room at the top.
Fort Brennan
At Fort Brennan, northeast of the Kamassa River in New Hanover, lies a hidden gem - a Civil War Knife tucked away in the basement of the first building on the left. Retrieve it by exiting the building and climbing a ladder.
These are just a few examples of the hidden secrets awaiting discovery in the vast world of Red Dead Redemption 2. Whether you encounter Bigfoot and snap a picture or embark on the Marko Dragic quest, each revelation will enrich your gaming experience.
