A user who goes by the handle “Kiwisauce” shared a link in the comments of our Nintendo Switch Lite review to some neat wireframe diagrams of various handheld gaming devices. They were kind enough to share the link so that other users could download their own versions to print off, and it’s a neat way to get a feel for how the Steam Deck stands up in size to other devices.

Obviously, they won’t be super accurate, since they’re wireframe diagrams and not necessarily meant to be used for exact measurements, but they do provide a rough idea for how the portable gaming device sizes compare.

Personally, I think it’s interesting to see just how much the smartphone screen has grown over the years, but I also appreciate that the author included the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita – two devices I’ve owned in the past.

“Kiwisauce” mentions a small error in the diagrams, stating that their version of the Nintendo Switch does not quite fit an A4 sheet but is close, and they also include a link to download the wireframe diagrams, including one for the Steam Deck.

While some users offer their love for the Switch Lite or the Nintendo Switch in general, there are mentions of other handheld devices like the Game Gear, N-Gage, and Sega Nomad, but the focus is mainly on comparing the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch.

“Kiwisauce” also shares their thoughts that the 3DS is the best handheld system in terms of design and portability, but I’m also a big fan of the Wii U GamePad, which I used for years before making the jump to a portable Steam Deck.

While I think it would be difficult to cover all handhelds in a similar way, given how many there are, there are some neat comparisons here, and it’s certainly nice to see someone going out of their way to help others.
