Fallout: New Vegas Strip Entry Methods

Broaching the topic of gaining access to the Strip in Fallout: New Vegas often leads to confusion. This sleazy and vibrant settlement, filled with casinos and drugs, may seem impossible to enter. However, the Strip is not only the central hub of the game, but also a lively and exciting location. Whether you choose to ask nicely, use impersonation tactics, or pay the required fee of 2,000 caps, spending time in the neon lights and Lucky 38 will be worthwhile especially when you have access to the best weapons in Fallout: New Vegas.

Securitron Guard and the Credit Check

Upon arrival at the Strip gate, you will encounter a Securitron guard who will prevent access unless you can pass a credit check of 2,000 caps. The credit check is not a minimum balance requirement; instead, the guard asks for a penalty of 2,000 caps for your overdue credit. Failing the credit check can result in paying the guard the required amount.

Tricking the Securitron Guard

If your science skill level is 80 or higher, you can trick the Securitron guard into letting you through. Impersonate a knowledgeable individual, and the guard will move aside, allowing you to enter the Strip without causing any harm. It’s like attending the King’s School of Impersonation!

Alternative Method: Fake Strip Passport

If you prefer not to spend your own money, visit Mick and Ralph’s shop near the Old Mormon Fort in Freeside. Inquire about their services, and they will inform you of a side gig involving a fake Strip passport. For just 500 caps, you can obtain this counterfeit passport, much cheaper than the 2,000 caps required for the credit check. Present the fake passport to the Securitron, and gain entry into the Strip effortlessly.

Experience Points and the King’s School of Impersonation

If you lack the necessary caps or do not wish to spend them, head over to the King’s School of Impersonation in Freeside. The King, located in the stage room, will ask for your assistance with various tasks. Completing these tasks will not only help you gain access to the Strip but also earn you valuable experience points along the way.

Bypassing the Credit Check

The final method of gaining entry into the Strip is a more roundabout way that requires completing other side quests. By bypassing the Strip credit check, you can access the Ultra-Luxe as well. This method may be challenging, but the rewards are worth it.
