The Tsukumogami Parasol in Final Fantasy 14
The Tsukumogami Parasol is an adorable new fashion item in Final Fantasy 14, and it’s no surprise that players are eager to get their hands on it. It’s inspired by Japanese folklore, named after Tsukumogami, inanimate objects with spirits. It’s also reminiscent of the Kasa-obake, an umbrella yokai. To get it in the free PC game, though, you’ll need to venture into the Mount Rokkon Variant Dungeon.
How to get the Tsukumogami Parasol
To obtain the Tsukumogami Parasol, you need to complete the ‘Mononoke Aware’ quest from Shallow Moor in Old Sharlayan. This unlocks the Mount Rokkon Variant Dungeon, where you’ll have a chance to get the item as a rare loot reward with RNG involved.
If you’re not keen on the idea of luck deciding whether or not you get the item, you can also choose to purchase it from the Market Board. It can be found under the ‘Registrable Miscellany’ section, where it costs 3,750 gil.
Once you’ve got it, you need to go into your inventory and use the Tsukumogami Parasol item. This is very similar to equipping a minion – you need to go into the ‘Character’ tab in the ‘Fashion Accessories’ section and then select ‘Tsukumogami Parasol’ in the menu that pops up.
Equipping the parasol grants you access to a few unique parasol-specific emotes and poses. You can also set it to ‘Auto-umbrella’ so that it automatically equips when it starts raining in the game.
That’s everything you need to know about the Tsukumogami Parasol in Final Fantasy 14. As with every new patch, there are always new items to collect, and the parasol adds a quirky and stylish touch to the Warrior of Light.
