Old School RuneScape Player Achieves Historic Feat: Completing the Boss Log
An Old School RuneScape player has achieved the monumental feat of collecting every single boss drop in the game, placing them at the top of the game’s Collection Log leaderboards and cementing their position as the ultimate hero in the world of OSRS. The Collection Log serves as a comprehensive checklist of all the items in the game, making this achievement a historic milestone in RuneScape history.
To complete this monumental task, the player named Bazilijus estimated to have defeated around 150,000 bosses to acquire every possible drop. Some bosses required only a hundred kills, while others demanded several thousand, with one boss, Callisto, falling victim to Bazilijus a staggering 10,001 times.
“I’m just speechless,” one player comments on a screenshot of Bazilijus’ Collection Log. “You have truly achieved something that no one else has in the history of RuneScape,” another writes. “This is madness,” a third player exclaims, “I would’ve given up after the second page.”
Bazilijus’ journey began during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and concluded on June 26, 2023. This means their three-year undertaking required approximately 22,000 hours of playtime, not including the countless failed attempts at acquiring certain drops.
“I’m not even mad,” another player responds. “I’m just impressed. I’m in awe. This is a historic milestone in RuneScape.”
It is worth noting that despite dedicating over two decades of their life to Old School RuneScape, not all of Bazilijus’ gameplay was solely focused on completing the boss log.
The Inquisitor’s Mace, obtained from Phosani’s Nightmare, served as the final item required to complete the boss log, taking approximately 1,000 hours to acquire.
While Bazilijus has conquered the boss log and the Slayer log, they have yet to clear out the entire Collection Log. With their current #1 ranking on the log leaderboard, Bazilijus may be the best candidate to achieve this feat, but it remains unlikely due to the constant addition of new items by OSRS developer Jagex.
In addition, certain items in the Collection Log have exceedingly rare drop rates, making their acquisition highly improbable. On the OSRS subreddit, players humorously speculate that it may take Bazilijus “10 to 15 years” to complete the entire list, with one player even joking about checking up on their progress in 2073.
Regardless of the challenges ahead, Bazilijus’ determination and remarkable RNG luck continue to inspire the Old School RuneScape community. As they embark on new quests, their name will forever be associated with an extraordinary achievement in the world of gaming.
