Path of Exile offers players the ability to reset their skill tree points, allowing for flexibility and experimentation. Whether you're looking to try out a new build or correct a previous mistake, the process is straightforward.

How to Reset Your Path of Exile Skill Tree

In order to reset your skill tree points, you'll need an Orb of Regret. These valuable items can be obtained as drops from monsters, chests, or purchased from other players. Once you have an Orb of Regret, locate a 'Book of Regrets' vendor NPC in any town or hideout. Interact with the vendor and select the 'Trade' option.

In the trade window, place the Orb of Regret into the vendor's inventory and choose the 'Book of Regrets' item to purchase. The Book of Regrets will appear in your inventory. Right-click on it to allocate a skill point refund.

Each Book of Regrets contains 20 refund points, allowing you to reset multiple skill points at once. Simply right-click on the skill point you wish to refund on your skill tree, and the point will be returned to you. You can then reallocate the skill point to a different node on your skill tree.

It's important to note that the number of skill points you can refund is limited and tied to the number of quests you have completed in the game. The maximum number of skill points you can refund is equal to the number of quests you have completed, plus an additional 20. For example, if you have completed all the quests, you can refund up to 120 skill points. If you have not completed any quests, you can still refund 20 skill points.

Keep in mind that refunding skill points using Orbs of Regret and Books of Regrets can be costly. The price of these items can vary depending on the league and the in-game economy. Prepare to spend some in-game currency to acquire the necessary items. However, the investment is worthwhile as it allows you to optimize your skill tree and focus on your chosen path.
