Tactica: A Strategy RPG Game with the Phantom Thieves
Want to know more about the Persona 5 Tactica release date? Following the events of Persona 5, the Phantom Thieves find themselves in a strange dimension known as The Kingdoms, ruled by an oppressive monarch named Marie.
Alongside Joker and Morgana, the rest of the Phantom Thieves were brainwashed, making them enemies to be defeated. The two must team up with a woman named Erina and her Rebel Corps to rescue their friends and return to their home world. While they’re at it, they encounter a Japanese politician named Toshiro Kasukabe, who is unsure of how he arrived in The Kingdoms.
Persona 5 Tactica has a lot in common with the strategy RPG game Valkyria Chronicles, albeit much more fantastical. We’ve taken a look at the gameplay, story, and other details of Persona 5 Tactica below.

Gameplay
Much like Valkyria Chronicles, the battles in Persona 5 Tactica play out in turns, but unlike a regular Persona game, there are added tactical elements. The game includes a cover system, environmental effects, and elemental strengths and weaknesses.
Each playable character has a unique skill that can be used once the Voltage Gauge is filled. For instance, Morgana can summon a dome that buffs allies’ movement and attack speed, while Joker can heal the team for a small amount of HP.
Growth Points are earned through leveling up and listening in on conversations at the team’s Hideout. These points can then be used to improve the abilities of the playable characters.
It’s currently unclear how exactly the cast of Persona 5 Tactica will progress through The Kingdoms.
Persona 5 Tactica Editions
Persona 5 Tactica is available in both a physical and digital edition. Those looking to buy a boxed copy of the game can pre-order the Persona 5 Tactica: Orpheus Picaro Edition or the Persona 5 Tactica: Izanagi Picaro Edition, which grants access to the Orpheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro DLC.
Those who pre-order the digital version of the game will also receive the Weapon Pack, Picaro Summon Pack + Raoul Persona, and the ‘Repaint Your Heart’ Challenge Pack. It’s rumored that the ‘Repaint Your Heart’ Challenge Pack will add the Royal-exclusive character Kasumi Sumeragi, though this has yet to be officially confirmed.
