This is huge news for Nintendo and retro gaming fans. Super Mario RPG, the beloved SNES classic and the original RPG game in the Mario series, is coming to Nintendo Switch. You can now play one of the greatest games ever made anywhere, anytime, on a portable device. It will be released on November 17.

Alongside Super Mario RPG, Nintendo also announced a Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon remake and a new Princess Peach game. This year, Mario fans can look forward to Mario Party 5 and Mario Tennis Aces. The next Mario Kart is scheduled for 2024. Super Mario Maker 2 and Super Mario World Builder were also mentioned in the Direct. It's an exciting time to be a Mario fan.

Super Mario RPG is the only non-Mario platformer and the only actual RPG in the Mario series until Super Mario Maker. It holds a special place in the hearts of many fans. Now, a whole new generation of players will have the opportunity to experience this game for themselves.

If you're skeptical about Mario RPGs but still want to give it a try, I recommend Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Its action-combat may appeal to you.
