What are the best games like Zelda 2023? Since the hype around the latest Zelda games, Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom, is reaching a fever pitch, it only makes sense that players might be on the lookout for some other similar games. With a wide variety of games to choose from, especially on PS5, there’s a huge genre of games to choose from.

Genshin Impact

You likely already know exactly what Genshin Impact is like. This fascinating free-to-play game took the world by storm and – for a long time – held the title for the best Zelda-like game. In truth, players actually get an experience that adds in a lot more RPG elements than the Zelda series tends to, adding a new layer of complexity to this already excellent game.

Kena: Bridge Of Spirits

If players are looking for a game similar to Zelda games but with a bit more heart and a more Disney-like appearance, they’ll probably love Kena: Bridge Of Spirits. The game has been through a few hands since its inception and this latest release is stunning. Its world is beautiful to behold and the animations are smooth and lifelike. If players are not convinced yet, they can check out our Kena Bridge of Spirits review to get the full low-down.

Tunic

Tunic is quite clearly a heavily Zelda-inspired game. The game seems to be heavily modeled over the early generation of Zelda games, with exactly what’s going on being yours to discover as you play. Tunic’s story is both minimalist and adorable – replete with a talking dog companion. With a beautiful world and combat system, Tunic is one of the favorite PS5 games.

Skyrim

Skyrim might be on pretty much every system in existence at this point, but there’s a reason for that. The moment it arrived on PS4 and PS5, it became a huge hit for good reason – it’s a fantastic game that offers an experience unlike any other. Set in the titular land of Skyrim, players create and shape their character before letting them loose on the expansive world. There’s so much to do here, whether it’s delving into caves and dungeons to kill off hoards of enemies, slaying dragons, or completing intricate side quests.

No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

If players are looking for something in the style of Zelda but set in the modern time, the closest they’re probably going to get is No More Heroes 3. The series isn’t as well-known as Zelda, but if they somehow still haven’t played Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it’s well worth giving a playthrough on the PS5.

Hyper Light Drifter

If players are fans of the throwback style of gaming that’s been getting a revival lately, they’ll enjoy Hyper Light Drifter. A game that was clearly modeled after Zelda, this RPG game sees them battling through a devastated world fighting mutated monsters and human monsters. In this fantastic game, players have got a massive world to explore and a whole bunch of quests to take on as well.

Tales Of Arise

The Tales series, which players definitely already know if they’re fans of anime, has quite a lot going for it. Players already know that Tales Of Arise is a massive RPG, but it does still feel familiar to Zelda games – the combat feels very much like a Zelda game, like a free-flowing fighting system. The brutal boss fights also give the game that extra something – definitely, one of the best RPG games.

Kenshin Kenshin

The gameplay alone should be enough to impress players with Kenshin: Atsuga, because it’s a wonderfully fleshed-out open world.
