A user spends $100 on The Legend of Zelda, their week is ruined, and many people on the r/NintendoSwitch subreddit disagree. Some people don’t understand why their week would be ruined, while others say that nothing will be accomplished this week because of the purchase. One user even shares their experience of taking a week to beat the game.

“I just spent $100 on Zelda,” the user says. “I’m not going to be able to do anything this week. It’s going to be a disaster.”

Many people reply that the user’s week is actually going to be great because of the game. “I can hear the music in my head already,” one person replies. “I’m jealous because I’m not able to play it yet,” another user says.

“Well, you’re literally not going to be able to do anything this week,” another replies. “I mean, I guess you could do something, but it’ll be on your mind the entire time.”

“I wouldn’t say your week is ruined,” one says. “You didn’t pay $100 for the game, you paid $100 for the experience of playing it.” Someone replies to this with a gif of a man shrugging.

“I’m surprised nobody has said anything about playing it on a recompiled PC version with widescreen support and 60fps,” one says. “I mean, if you’re going to drop that kind of money on it, you might as well do it right.”

“I have a CRT monitor and playing games made for 4:3 screens in 16:9 aspect ratio is the best,” another says. “It really ruins the experience, though.” Someone replies with a gif of a man shrugging again, implying that 4:3 aspect ratio games in 16:9 aspect ratio aren’t as good.

“It’s not ruined,” another replies. “It’s a win. It’s considered the greatest game ever created.” Someone replies with a gif of a man shrugging a third time, implying that they’re starting to get annoyed by the repeated gif.

“I started replaying it on my 3DS and it’s my all-time favorite,” another says. “I think I’m going to play through the original again this summer.”

“Your week is going to be great because of the game,” one replies. “I’m very jealous.”

“I’m going to start hearing the music in my head now,” another replies. “Don’t listen when you’re playing,” another replies with a gif of a man shrugging yet again.

“I have some old games that I think are really weirdly uncanny,” another replies. “I’ll play them for 5 minutes and then realize that I’ve played them for 20 years.” Someone replies with a gif of a man shrugging for the fourth time.

“Look up a guide to the water temple before you start it,” another replies. “And yeah, there’s a bit of input lag, but it’s not that bad.”

Another user references the start of the game with “Dawn of the 1st day.” “I can’t believe you’re playing it already,” they reply. “It’s going to take me a while to recover from this game.”

“It only takes a day or two to complete,” another replies. “I think it’s the best game of all time, but I don’t think it’s the greatest game ever made.” Another replies with a gif of a man shrugging a fifth time.
