Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse outperforms The Flash
The Flash movie is facing a box office challenge, as the highly anticipated Superhero film lags behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The Warner Bros. film – which stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen – was expected to keep up with the success of Wonder Woman 2023 and Justice League Dark, but is now being outperformed by Sony’s Spider-Verse.
Despite its initial hype, The Flash is not performing as well as expected in the global box office. While The Flash’s performance is not a complete disaster, it is losing out to its competitor at the mid-week box office, where Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is stealing the spotlight.
The Flash, a superhero film featuring one of the most popular characters in popular culture, does not appear to be living up to its potential in the box office race. Variety notes that The Flash is facing challenges in its box office run, with another Spider-Man film – this time a spinoff – doing better.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has surpassed The Flash at the box office this mid-week,” Variety says, “as the live-action adaptation of the DC Comics speedster falls to its second Spider-Man movie at the global box office.”

The Flash is facing tough competition in the box office rankings, overshadowed by the success of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Despite the number of films in the DC universe, Warner Bros. has failed to live up to its predecessors in terms of box office revenue, as the latest Spider-Man movie has outshone The Flash.
