The Mortuary Assistant Endings

Want to know about all the The Mortuary Assistant endings? The Mortuary Assistant offers a mix of intense scares and emotional moments. While the game is fairly linear, there are multiple endings available depending on your choices and actions. The demons lurking in the mortuary make no promises of a happy ending for Raymond and Rebecca, but we’ll do our best to guide you to the best one.

The New Ending Update adds a new ending with additional lore and exploration, so keep that in mind while reading this guide. We’ve left some loose ends, hinting at possible future updates.

The following are the endings we found in The Mortuary Assistant, ranked from disappointing to heartwarming.

  1. This ending features you being chained to a wall and being placed in a coffin. You’re not dead, but it’s unclear what’s next for you.
  2. This ending features you being trapped in a coffin container with disappointment from Raymond. Burn the wrong body or pick the wrong demon, and you’ll end up here.
  3. Successfully completing the second shift leads to a new opportunity. You’ll leave the mortuary with a new car, a raise, and a new job.
  4. A basement ending reveals more about Raymond’s story and his fight against demons. In particular, the coffin cutscene above is slightly altered in this ending as well.
  5. The New Ending Update adds a new ending with additional lore and exploration. You’ll head to the basement, which was previously inaccessible. Put the fuse back into the fuse box to trigger this ending.
  6. Remember to put the fuse back into the fuse box for this ending.
  7. This ending is not considered the best conclusion for Raymond and Rebecca’s story. In particular, placing the necklace on Rebecca’s father or the coins in Rebecca’s hands triggers a cutscene that leads to a creepy but satisfying ending.
  8. Choose to ignore the coins and necklace, leaving them upstairs for this ending.
  9. Trigger a cutscene to earn the achievement “Closure” and experience a heartwarming ending.

And that’s all the The Mortuary Assistant endings that we discovered in our time with the game. Playing in total darkness enhances the experience of some of these endings, but you’ll get the gist from our descriptions. The Mortuary Assistant leaves some loose ends, hinting at possible future updates. In particular, consider checking out The Mortuary Assistant New Ending Update.
