A Tomb Raider Underworld Cosplay is shared on the Lara Croft Discord, and the user admits it’s not perfect but still loves it. The responses range from compliments to playful jibes, and it’s a great example of how you can’t please everyone on the internet.

Clawsplay

“Clawsplay,” I’m calling it. Not sure if it’s exclusive to furries, but I have a feeling it is.

From the outset of the Discord post, the cosplayer’s attention to detail is clear. The lack of a harness in the photo unsettles some, while others are reassured by the fact that it’s likely a safe setup and the ground is just out of shot.

The pose also prompts a few reactions, with some making references to video game mechanics, suggesting the cosplayer’s expression is a result of the game being paused or the character’s default facial expression. Others make lighthearted comments about the cosplayer’s facial expression, suggesting she looks bored or like she’s thinking about something unrelated to the cosplay.

“This is not an excellent cosplay, but it’s a well-done one,” one user states. “There’s a difference between capturing the character’s attitude and just being a good cosplay.” Another replies, “There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be authentic to the costume.”

Overall, it’s a positive reaction to the cosplay, with many finding it impressive, well-done, and above average. Some do note that dirt and scratches would enhance it further, but they appreciate the attention to detail in general.

If you want to check out the whole thread, head over to the official Tomb Raider Discord. It’s also worth noting that there’s a similar Underworld cosplay in the official Lara Croft subreddit, which you can check out here.
