Lost in the Backbreaker Boneyard dungeon
If you're lost in the Backbreaker Boneyard, we have a guide to help you navigate its confusing corridors to the boss. Our step-by-step instructions will save you time and help you overcome some of the obstacles you may encounter.
The Backbreaker Boneyard dungeon is just one of many you’ll encounter in the game. With so many dungeons out there, it’s likely you’ll find yourself lost from time to time. Our guides are designed to help you reach the end as quickly as possible.
How to navigate the Backbreaker Boneyard dungeon
Upon entering the Backbreaker Boneyard, you’ll be able to see a yellow machine to the east. Activate it to lift the car, allowing you to head north. In this new area, you’ll see a machine to the south, as well as a gate that you can’t open yet.
You’ll want to head west, past the fire cars, and then go east to activate the machine. After this, you can return to the entrance of the area and go north to enter a new zone.
There are several fire cars that will start moving as you enter this new zone. You’ll want to navigate past them, going south through the gate that you were previously unable to pass.
Cross the bridge to the east and you’ll enter the next area. Continue south, activating the new machine. This will remove the final barricade.
Proceed south, cross the bridge to the west, and travel northwest. You’ll be able to head north and follow the path until you enter a new zone.
Now that you’ve reached the North Boneyard, you’ll want to fully heal your team before heading into the boss fight. You’ll also want to prepare Barbae to use her Tag Team, as it will significantly boost your damage.
The boss of this dungeon is Scrap Jaw, a vintage car. We recommend focusing on dealing damage rather than debuffs. The Triple Team Attack, which Barbae has at level two, can be very effective, as it will deal three times the normal damage. Use this at the start of the match for maximum damage.
Scrap Jaw has several attacks:
You can heal your characters as needed, but having Barbae use the Tag Team should keep your characters from dying. Having her prepare it before the fight will ensure that you have it available during the battle.
After defeating Scrap Jaw, you’ll be able to navigate to the last zone by going southeast of the boss. You’ll notice a giant S block that you can’t interact with yet. In order to finish this dungeon, you’ll need to go there, but you can do so after you’ve completed all of the side quests in the area.
Instead, we recommend heading south of Slimy’s house to quickly exit the dungeon.
